The Spitting Pig Wales team travelled to Llandough today for the celebration of Andrew’s 40th Birthday. On our arrival we were greeted by the Welsh weather, pouring rain and driving wind. Undeterred we set up the gazebo and set about preparing for the 6pm serve. The forecast was for a dry sunny evening, we were hoping!!
The Hog Roast Llandough pig had been cooking since 4am that morning to obtain the soft succulent ‘pulled pork’ and crisp golden crackling. The celebrations were in full swing as the pig was carved and ready to serve and just on que the rain ceased and the sun broke through!! Amazing!
The 75 guests quickly devoured the Hog Roast Llandough pork, homemade stuffing, apple sauce and rolls, many coming back for 2nd & 3rd helpings. All that was left to do was for the Spitting Pig Wales team to discreetly clear up, pack up and head home.
