Hog Roast Llandovery recently catered Josie’s birthday party locally, where we cooked our amazing Southern Slow Roast Menu for a group of forty guests. This menu has something for everyone as you get not one but three marinated meat dishes from a choice of five, all packed full of flavour as we use our secret recipe rubs, and four yummy sides, from a possible seven, and it even comes with a set vegetarian option too if required.
In terms of the meat choices with this menu, you can choose from Creole pulled quarter of spiced lamb, BBQ pork butt, Cajun-spiced whole roast chickens, Texan 24-hour beef brisket and fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs. They are all roasted at a low temperature, slowly for hours, until as tender as can be, and they are served together with some lovely sauces and fresh bread rolls and wraps.
For the side dishes, you can choose four from corn cobettes, mac and cheese, our Memphis style crunchy coleslaw, Greek salad, seasonal green leaf salad, Cajun-spiced sweet potato wedges, and skin-on southern-style whole baked potatoes. Plus vegetarians love our grilled vegetable and halloumi wraps that we serve with a Tzatziki sauce. Phew!
For Josie’s special day, she chose to treat her guests to pork ribs, chicken and lamb, to be accompanied by mac and cheese, both salads and the sweet potato wedges, with the veggie skewers for two vegetarian guests.
