We understand that planning a wedding can be a tricky feat, which is why Hog Roast Porthmadog is proud to offer something for everyone. With six different wedding package tiers to choose from; not to mention the added option of having a completely bespoke menu at an affordable cost, many brides and grooms find that our services are the perfect addition to their big day.
Eager to add their own personal touch to their otherwise traditional wedding, lovebirds Lucy and Tom reached out to the Hog Roast Porthmadog team to see what we could offer. After being placed in the capable hands of our expert catering manager Paul, the pair decided on our very popular wedding menu 4 which is composed of a selection of canapes to be served to arriving guests by our friendly waiting staff, a full two or three-course meal brought to life by our talented chefs and served on real crockery; and of course, a discreet end of event clean-up.
The much-anticipated wedding took place earlier this month at Porthmadog Yacht Club where the catering crew arrived eight hours in advance to prepare the evening meal and set up the dining area. Indoor tables were decorated with crisp white tablecloths and keeping in step with the nautical theme, featured centrepieces of miniature yachts and wooden anchors.
After exchanging rings, Tom, Lucy and their 50 guests began arriving at the reception venue where they were greeted with delicious platters of haloumi kebabs, pate en croute, duck wraps and mini quiche which had them eager to tuck into the main meal! Over the next hour, ten more guests arrived and finally, it was time to serve up the hog roast which by now was golden brown and covered in crispy crackling.
The newlyweds were blown away by how smoothly the catering was run and the quality of food on offer. Using the best ingredients the team had laid out a buffet of grilled vegetable and haloumi skewers served with pitta breads and a tzatziki dip, potato wedges chef’s pasta salad, Caesar salad, coleslaw and gluten-free rolls.
The day went swimmingly and we’re so glad that the new Mr and Mrs Griffiths put their trust in the Hog Roast Porthmadog team to handle all of their catering needs!
