Overview
There are many advantages of becoming a Spitting Pig franchisee, and that includes how much support we give you in establishing and growing your own mobile hog roast business. We equip all of your franchisees with the skills, knowledge and training they need to succeed. This doesn’t just happen at the start of your hog roast journey either – we provide ongoing training, information and development sessions to ensure that you and any staff you have continue to deliver the best standard of food and customer service for your clients.
Initial training
We are proud to have franchisees from all walks of life and from a variety of backgrounds. We do have many franchisees who have previously worked in catering in some capacity, but we also have others who have not worked in catering before and want to carve a new life and career for themselves with this exciting opportunity. Regardless of your level of previous catering experience, you can be assured that we will give you an in-depth initial training programme at our Hog Roast Academy. This will include all aspects of running your own catering business, food preparation and menu planning, health and safety and food hygiene, how to operate our cutting-edge catering equipment, customer service skills, and managing client expectations.
Training new staff members
As your business grows, you may decide to expand your team and employ some staff members to help you deliver your hog roast catering services. We will provide full training and ongoing support to any new members of staff you acquire, and they will be just as well versed as you in what is involved in providing hog roast catering to an exceptional standard.
Ongoing growth and development opportunities
We run regular training sessions to brush up on skills, learn how to make any new dishes we add to menus, update you on any changes to legislation, introduce you to any new models of hog roast equipment, and anything else that you to know to stay at the top of your game.
