This summer in Wales has been a whirlwind of events, from country fairs to lively carnivals and, of course, food festivals galore. If you’ve been out and about, you’ve likely noticed that there’s been no shortage of ways to stay entertained. We know this better than most, as Hog Roast Bala, one of Wales’ premier catering providers, has been busier than ever! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been rushing from one booking to the next, and there’s no sign of things slowing down anytime soon.
But don’t mistake our bustling schedule for complaints. On the contrary, we thrive on the excitement of these events! Just last weekend, we had the pleasure of catering for an outdoor rally that was nothing short of spectacular.
The event attracted several hundred people, and it was clear from the start that the organisers had put a lot of effort into this festival. Attendees were treated to an incredible display of traction engines, vintage and classic cars, vintage tractors, and much more. The event was a nostalgic dream for vehicle enthusiasts, and the main arena buzzed with working displays and trade stands brimming with antiques and collectables.
But there was even more fun to be had. A vintage and modern fairground kept the little ones entertained, while the adults enjoyed live music and browsed the autojumble of antiques. And of course, a variety of food stalls were on hand to keep everyone well-fed and satisfied. Among them was Hog Roast Bala; our team proudly served our famous hog roast.
A Hog Roast Bala hog roast is not just food; it’s an experience. We slow-cooked that beauty to tender perfection, resulting in juicy, flavourful meat and crackling that was crisp and salty – just the way everyone loves it. We topped it off with sage and onion stuffing that was seasoned to perfection and a dollop of applesauce that added a delightful hint of sweetness. The result? Sandwiches that were so irresistible, guests were in food heaven.
As the evening drew to a close, the event was capped off with an unforgettable fireworks display. We packed up our stall, proud of yet another successful service and grateful for the chance to share our delicious creations with so many people from our community.
