As a wedding caterer of nearly thirty years, we have heard it often enough at Hog Roast Swansea: your wedding day can be such a blur that the celebrations almost become a little too much to enjoy. Though it is dubbed as your ‘special day’, there is so much pressure and stress that goes into a wedding that we hear often enough from our brides and grooms we cater for that the day is actually difficult to fully enjoy. It’s easy to understand. After all, for some, having hundreds clambering to talk to you and offer their personal congratulations can become a little much – especially with so much else going round organising the dining, the DJ, the photos, etc.
That is why we have found it to be a great idea to host a post wedding celebration a little bit after the fact. Give it a few days post the special day itself and you’ll have had the time to come down from the pressure of taking to the alter. A wedding belated wedding celebration after the fact is something where you can relax and breathe just a little easier and really enjoy the day with the people that matter most in your life – all at your own pace too.
This was the case with one of our events from the weekend here in Uplands, Swansea. Our customer had come to us looking for our specialist wedding catering services, knowing that Hog Roast Swansea are the very best in the industry, only this was a service that wasn’t to be for the wedding itself. Rather, the customer was hosting a much smaller belated get together to toast to their wedding. Less pressure; more fun and time to spend with friends and family!
The 30 guests in attendance were spoiled for choice in our menu. A pick of the finest Italian meats and cheeses to kick off in our antipasti grazing table, before then the sizzle and spice of Hog Roast Swansea’s summer favourite: the southern slow roast. Comfort dining made for an extravagant occasion – even if it wasn’t quite the special day itself!
