Love might have its own dedicated day in February, but there’s something about the festive period that brings our feelings of love and romance to the surface; prompting thousands of couples each year to take the leap towards lifelong commitment. As hopeless romantics at heart, we’re pleased to say that this year has been no different, and after plucking up enough courage to pop the question which took Emily by surprise on Christmas morning, Alfie got in touch with our team at Hog Roast Llanelli to arrange a mouth-watering feast for their engagement celebration party which took place at their family home over the weekend.
With most of the family still in town after celebrating Christmas and Boxing Day, there was lots of work to be done before the monumental occasion could go ahead, but luckily for lovebirds Emily and Alfie, Hog Roast Llanelli had them covered! Choosing from our selection of elaborate menus and bespoke catering packages which can be easily adapted to suit all event styles and budgets, the couple had opted for our southern slow roast menu which offers an irresistible combination of American-inspired dishes that are sure to tickle the taste buds of anyone on the guest list.
Upon arriving at the client’s home on Saturday afternoon, Hog Roast Llanelli was invited through to the spacious back garden where they promptly set up the catering gazebo and marquee. While half of the team decorated the dining area with fairy lights, and candles before setting out the crockery and cutlery on the rustic tables, the catering manager and designated chef began cooking up a storm. Before long, scents of tender meat and chargrilled vegetables filled the air which only fuelled the guests’ excitement for the feast.
Fortunately, they didn’t have long to wait and as Hog Roast Llanelli began serving up the BBQ pork butt, Texan 24 hour beef brisket and fall off the bone Louisiana sticky pork ribs along with the freshly-tossed salads, creamy mac and cheese and Memphis style crunchy coleslaw side options, the guests looked on in anticipation. The food was a huge hit among the guests and many couldn’t help but return for third and even fourth helpings!
