While we all enjoyed a late lie in with the clocks going back last week, it did unfortunately officially end British summer (the little of it that there perhaps was, I feel) and bring us to those colder, darker nights. But what do we do here when the nights draw in and the dark descends? We light the nation up again in a fine blaze of fireworks, bonfires, barbecues, toasted marshmallows, and hot drinks and more!
Yes, Hog Roast Ferndale loves celebrating Guy Fawkes just as much as the rest of you! I mean, after all, we’re taking a celebration that is exclusively about getting the fire going in a fine spectacle, which is half of what we do with hog roasting anyway! Hog Roast Ferndale therefore was delighted to take up a few of our customers invites to lend our services to their firework and bonfire events. The evening may have felt sub-zero, but we kept spirits and hearts up with our warm roast and lavish servings of alcoholic drinks and hot beverages (a cheeky little Irish Coffee, anyone?). Our hog roast is normally the brightest blaze in the room (or outside for that matter) but at this event Dean and his son had a huge bonfire ready to go for all their extended family to enjoy, plus some small fireworks and even a couple of sparklers for the younger ones to safely enjoy. We enjoyed the show and then topped it off for everyone in attendance by dolling out the hot pulled-pork rolls – a perfect bonus to a wonderful night full of celebration.
Dean blethered away to Our Catering Manager about our Hog Master unit, showing a very keen interest in how it works and what it takes to keep a beauty like this running. Perhaps we have a keen hog roaster in the making? Our Catering Manager’s are of course all too ready to boast their knowledge of all things roasting, so Dean most assuredly came to the right place, and if he ever does wish to take up the brilliance of hog roasting for himself he knows just where to find us – we’ll get him sorted righted.
From all at Hog Roast Ferndale, we hope you all had a brilliant and safe Guy Fawkes!
