Sophie and her partner have been together since they were in school and have since raised their family with two children and 3 cats. After over 15 years of being in a relationship, they finally decided it was time to tie the knot and recently got engaged while on holiday in Spain. For the wedding, the couple wanted a traditional reception with formal catering and contacted our catering manager Brad to arrange the details. For the menu, Hog Roast Llantrisant was hired to provide our formal catering package for 70 guests, including tableside service and a drinks toast.
On the day of the wedding, we began the catering by serving a delicious starter of salmon breast, or a vegetarian soup of the day. Both of these dishes went down a treat and the meal got off to a great start.
Following the starter, the guests enjoyed a roasted sirloin steak, or BBQ pulled jackfruit. The steaks tasted excellent and were cooked just before serving for maximum freshness. Alongside the mains, we also served roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, red wine gravy, and sage and onion stuffing.
Before the dessert course, our experienced waiting staff provided the guests with glasses of prosecco and hosted a toast to the bride and groom. We then served profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding, with optional English cream and fresh berries. This was a wonderful way to end the meal and was the perfect level of formality for the occasion.
