The Llandeilo Festival of Senses 2014 got off to a very wet start on Friday 21st, but this didn’t dampen the spirits of the crowd which came to watch the wide range of events planned for the weekend. The festival was spread over four areas of the town, with all the shops open for late night Christmas shopping.
Friday saw the main attraction being the appearance of Father Christmas in the main square, a real delight for the children and with several bands on the Main Stage to entertain the adult. The Mayor addressed the crowd turning on the Christmas lights and announcing the start of the Talent Competition.
Saturday was a very busy shopping day and clear blue skies greeted the shoppers, Spitting Pig Wales got the griddle going early cooking their home made sausages, burgers and bacon. The hog roast pig was ready by lunch time with a very long queue forming waiting for the slow roasted pulled pork rolls. Throughout the day varies choirs, bands, Samba classes performed along with festive cooking demonstrations.
Sunday was a relaxed day with various bands playing to entertain the shoppers. The Spitting Pig Wales stand had a regular flow of satisfied customers throughout the day.
