For us Welsh, the 1st of March holds a special significance—it’s St. David’s Day, a time to honour our patron saint and celebrate our rich cultural heritage. Traditionally, this day is marked with a bountiful feast, and this year, Martha has entrusted Hog Roast Bargoed to make her family meal a memorable one.
Martha, usually the chef and hostess for family gatherings, decided to take a different approach this year upon learning about Hog Roast Bargoed’s exceptional catering services. With the promise of premium, locally sourced ingredients from award-winning farms and the convenience of having all cooking, serving, and cleanup taken care of, Martha knew she had found the perfect solution for her St. David’s Day celebration.
Taking the lead on this event is our dedicated catering manager, Brad, who is eager to showcase our signature hog roast to Martha and her 25 guests. Prepared with the utmost love and care, the meat will be cooked until it’s tender and succulent on the inside and golden on the outside. Once carved, the meat will be served alongside savoury stuffing, lightly salted crackling, and applesauce, making it a true feast for the senses.
To complement the main course, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of side dishes, including vibrant salads, creamy coleslaw, and roasted new potatoes, each adding layers of flavour to the meal. And to end the celebrations on a sweet note, our decadent chocolate torte and summer pudding will leave taste buds dancing with delight.
Beyond providing delicious food, Hog Roast Bargoed goes the extra mile to ensure a stress-free experience for hosts like Martha. Brad will handle the clean up, disposing of any waste and leftovers off-site, allowing Martha to relax and enjoy the company of her loved ones without worrying about the aftermath.
As the day draws near, Martha and her guests can look forward to an unforgettable St. David’s Day celebration, filled with good food, laughter, and cherished memories. With Hog Roast Bargoed at the helm, every detail will be taken care of, leaving Martha free to embrace the spirit of the occasion and revel in the joy of tradition.
