The Pencoed Campus, at Bridgend College was the venue for Spitting Pig Wales today. The weather was a marked improvement on yesterday’s torrential rain, just a lingering of morning mist in the valley that cleared by midday to reveal a bright and sunny winter’s day. The Spitting Pig Wales team had been up very early that morning preparing three home reared free range pigs, from their farm in Llanfynydd, to provide the ultimate Hog Roast in Bridgend for the 500 strong students that were attending courses at the college that day. The sage & onion stuffing, sweet apple sauce, locally baked brown & white rolls, crunchy golden crackling all made the most delicious ‘Pork in a Bun’ and the three serve points were quickly working flat out to get all 500 students feed under the hour!!! With the sun still shining all we had to was pack up the hog roast in Bridgend and head back to Spitting Pig Wales HQ.
